Jou Nouvo is seeking new volunteers! We are kindly requesting those apply have availability for a 3-6 month commitment, experience, and strong interest in helping out with the understanding of the listed positions. We are looking for anyone with professional experience/familiarity with non-profit organizations, as well as college and university students who are interested in learning more about helping with education and other reconstruction projects. Additionally, those interested in traveling to Haiti are strongly encouraged to apply.
Meeting Location: Downtown Boston, Hanover, MA, or other location in the South Shore area.
Fundraising:
Assistance with Grant Search and Grant Writing: Looking for volunteers willing to invest the time and energy into finding, applying for, and submitting proposals to sustain and expand Jou Nouvo programming. Click here to apply.
Coordination of Events:
Looking for volunteers to coordinate speaking engagements at different venues like churches and schools, women groups, book clubs, organize house parties, raffles, book sales, bake sales, yard sales, and other fundraiser(s). Click here to apply.
Coordination of Donations:
Work closely with JN Program Director on donation requests; write and mail thank you letters, follow-up with donors, create and maintain a secure data base of current and prospective donors. When necessary, coordinate with PID office on donation updates. Click here to apply.
Other:
Volunteers will be needed in helping with review, edit, format, and publish any Jou Novou documentation or correspondence. Help with collection of auction items. Assist with pick-up, drop off, and shipment of school, and medical supplies for Haiti. Work at events and Fundraisers.
